After the Sino-French Ecological Demonstration City in Wuhan, Jingzhou plans to build a sustainable Sino-German city.
According to planning, the city will be located in the Jinan Ecological and Cultural Tourism Area, with an area of about 14.7 square kilometers and residents of 200,000. The city will be built with respect for cultural heritage, borrowing the ideas and advanced technologies of Germany in urban construction.
The Jinan Ecological and Cultural Tourism Area is 1.5 kilometers from the Jingzhou Ancient City. It is home to many Chu cultural sites, including the Jinan ancient city site, the Ying city site and the Yutaishan site.
