The Wuhan Friendship Association with Foreign Countries and www.WuhanTime.com co-organize a special activity for the foreigners living in Wuhan. All foreigners and their spouses are welcome to participate. Saturday April 15th, 2006 In order to understand more about Chinese culture and take a closer look of real China, the Friendship Association and Wuhan Time have organized a trip to Huangpi District, where there will be a visit of a tea tree farm, with that we can learn about Chinas tea culture and try tea-picking by your own hands. We will also visit some local peasants families and a county school. Many children in the school are from unfortunate families that are struggling to support their children to complete the nine year compulsory education. We will donate half of the fees of the trip to support them. Transportation is arranged. Program outline Saturday 15 April 08.30 start from Wuhan Government, river park (Yi Yuanlu, Hankou) 10.00 arrival the venue 10.10 visit tea farm(tea-picking, tea sir-parching and enjoy the green tea) 13.00 lunch 14.00 visit peasants families, local primary school and charity activity 16.00 return to Hankou The program is suitable for people of all ages, and different interests. Please dont forget to bring lotion and a hat or cap to protect yourself against the sun. Costs The total costs for this activity will be 230 RMB. Transportation and lunch are included. Half of the fees collected will go to the unfortunate students. You will be asked to pay this when entering the bus. Child under 6 is free of charge,6-12 years old 50 yuan,12-18 years old 100.
