Wuhan-Japan South Korea fast container route to be launched

The plan of fast container route linking Wuhan of central China’s Hubei with Japan and South Korea was passed on Sept.21, 2015. The shipping line, which could shorten the average export transport time from Wuhan to Japan to 8 days and that from Wuhan to South Korea to 7 days, will be put into use in this month.

In terms of export, according to initial schedule, the whole journey from Wuhan to Tokyo Port (Osaka Port) will take around 192 hours with the ship setting out from Wuhan Yangluo Port every Saturday and arrived in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port on Tuesday, and the ship will depart again on Thursday and arrived in Tokyo Port or Osaka Port on next Monday. While the whole journey from Wuhan to Busan Port of South Korea will take 168 hours, with the ship departing from Yangluo Port every Wednesday, arriving in Waigaoqiao Port on Saturday, re-departing on next Monday and arriving in Busan Port on Wednesday.

In terms of import, the ship will leave Tokyo Port or Osaka Port of Japan on every Wednesday, and arrive in Wuhan Yangluo Port after 12 days (288 hours). While the journey from Busan Port to Yangluo Port will take 11 days (264 hours) with the ship departing from South Korea on every Saturday.

For the convenience of exporting and importing enterprises, Wuhan Customs will provide preferential services for cargos from or heading to Japan and South Korea. Hubei Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center will also open a green channel for customs inspection and discharging. Specialized wharf, channel, stockpiling and docking will be arranged in Wuhan Yangluo Port.
